We're looking for a

motivated and experienced Approved Electrician

The Role:

You'll be at the heart of our electrical maintenance and repairs team, working across social housing to keep emergency lighting systems and associated circuits safe and efficient. This is more than just a maintenance role - you'll be driving improvements, ensuring compliance, and delivering exceptional service every day.

What You'll Be Doing

Carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, and installations - especially emergency lighting (EML) Fit and maintain EML systems and associated circuits Install lighting circuits, key switches, spurs, and more Complete certificates and job cards using a PDA Communicate clearly with residents and work closely with the team Conduct testing, inspection, and fault-finding Meet SLAs and ensure top-tier service delivery Follow H&S procedures, risk assessments, and company protocols

What We're Looking For:

Full UK driving licence (max 6 points) C&G 2365 Level 3 and BS7671:2018 Level 3 (older versions considered) Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations Proven experience in social housing electrical work Comfortable using IT and digital tools (like PDAs) A team player with the initiative to work solo when needed

Know your British Standards inside out Have great communication and relationship-building skills Are well-organised and deadline-driven Can think logically and solve problems on the fly
