Role Overview



As a Field Service Engineer at SURE Solutions, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of onboard CCTV. Working in a fast paced, mobile environment, you will ensure our clients receive best in class technical support and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities



Install, maintain, and troubleshoot CCTV, DVR, IP and AHD camera systems, routers, and associated hardware on buses and commercial vehicles. Perform diagnostics and repairs, including testing cable integrity, verifying image quality, and updating firmware/software. Complete detailed service reports using our digital systems. Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, and office-based teams to provide timely updates and resolve issues. Ensure all work complies with company and client quality standards and health & safety policies. Manage van stock and tools, ensuring equipment is maintained and replenished as required. Represent SURE Solutions professionally while on customer sites.

Person Specification



Essential:



Proven experience in field based engineering, ideally with vehicle electronics, CCTV, or telecoms background. Good understanding of IP networks, cabling, and system troubleshooting. Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail. Full UK Driving Licence. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Desirable:



Experience with Streamax, Timespace DVRs, Robustel or Teltonika routers. Knowledge of CANbus, vehicle wiring diagrams, or multiplex systems. ECS/CSCS card or equivalent (or willingness to obtain). NVQ or equivalent in Electronics, Electrical Installation, or similar field.
