Bespoke Fireplaces is a leading home improvement brand providing luxury bespoke fireplaces, media walls and award winning electric fireplaces to beautiful homes, hotels, restaurants and commercial properties with our global Headquarters and retail showroom of excellence being based in Knowsley, Merseyside.

We seek a reliable and technically skilled

Service Engineer

to join our after-sales and support team, specializing in the servicing, maintenance, and repair of

luxury electric fireplaces

. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, diagnostics, and customer service, with the ability to resolve issues quickly and efficiently on-site that meet our clients' expectations for quality and aesthetics during peak traffic times during evenings and weekends if required.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair faults in luxury electric fireplaces at customer premises.

Perform routine maintenance, component replacements, and system updates. Install and test fireplaces when required, including integration with remote controls and smart home systems. Provide technical support and guidance to customers, installers, and internal teams. Complete service reports and update CRM or ticketing systems accurately. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during service visits. Carry out inspections and safety checks on new and existing installations. Liaise with manufacturers for parts ordering and warranty support where needed. Maintain tools, test equipment, and stock levels in your service vehicle.

Requirements:

Desirable experience in

media wall and fireplace installation

, especially working with

marble, electric fires, and timber structures

.

Proven experience as a service engineer, electrician, or electrical technician. Strong understanding of electric heating appliances and low-voltage systems. Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Full UK driving license (or applicable region). Professional appearance and excellent customer-facing communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage service schedules

Work Environment:

On-site work at private homes, showrooms, or commercial premises.

Indoor and semi-finished environments; some lifting and manual handling required. Travel between jobs with use of company or personal vehicle. Occasional weekend or evening work may be required depending on project timelines.

Qualifications & Experience

City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671). Experience working with electric fireplace brands such as Dimplex, Gazco, Flamerite, or Modern Flames. Familiarity with smart home systems and Wi-Fi-enabled electric appliances.
All hotels and expenses when travelling would be covered by the company with supporting receipts being presented, if not initially booked and purchased by the company.
