About the Role:
This role is responsible for supporting Eriez customer base by completing service/commissioning visits predominantly around the UK, but also into Europe and very rarely long haul worldwide trips may be required.
The successful candidate will spend 50-75% of the time on site visits, and may also be required to work occasional weekend shifts.
The right candidate can be based anywhere in the UK. However, as part of training and onboarding, the successful candidate will need to be on site (Bedwas, Caerphilly) for approximately 8 weeks (all expenses will be covered).
Responsibilities:
Support customer base with service/commissioning visits predominantly in UK. Infrequent European travel required. Very rare Worldwide travel may also occur
Carry out scheduled maintenance and other service activities including commissioning
Conduct mechanical service work/mechanical fitting
Software and hardware engineering processes
Software programming (PLCs, SCADA/HMIs, variable speed drives, communications networks)
Assist customers and internal personnel with technical questions
Adhering to Safety Guidelines and policies set out by customers and Eriez
Ensuring customer relationships are maintained and developed through high standards of service
Following site visits, ensure reports are completed to a high standard to provide customers with site findings and recommendations
Provide customers with remote assistance if necessary
Requirements
Experience in a similar role
Electronic and electrical experience
Mechanical experience, such as reading drawings & assembly
Ability to read electrical schematics
A natural problem solver, with good customer service skills
Able to communicate effectively at all levels
Naturally focused - able to retain a clear view of the overall objective when working under pressure
Worldwide travel to customers sites is an integral part of the role, so you must be comfortable with this
