Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Service/Refurb Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing Keenan diet feeders on farms across the North of England, usually tasks such as repairing or replacing chains, replacing bearings, welding and fabrication work, minor electrical work such as diagnosing and repairing weighing systems. The job will also be partly workshop based for the times when there are no service based jobs to do, workshop duties include refurbishing machinery for re-sale.

The successful candidate will be provided a fully stocked Mercedes Sprinter service van and training will be given over a 2 month trial period before you are expected to join on the rotor.

Pay is weekly. Your standard hours will be 40 per week and anything over that is overtime rate.

99% of the time you will not be required to stay out overnight but when you do accommodation will be arranged for you.

Duties:

- Maintain, service and repair Keenan diet feeders.

- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely solutions.

- Machinery refurbishment.

- Operating farm machinery, tractors, loadalls etc.

- New machinery commissions, teaching customers proper operation and maintenance of equipment.

- Be on the on call rotor covering breakdowns for one week blocks every seven weeks. You will be paid for being on call regardless of getting a call out or not.

Skills:

- Experience in welding and fabrication is preferred.

- A good practical knowledge.

- Experience in engineering or mechanics

- Strong problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
