An established electronic security solutions provider is seeking an experienced
Security Service Engineer
to join the team. The role involves installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of access control, CCTV, intruder alarms, and intercom systems across a varied client base.
Key responsibilities

Install, inspect, and maintain electrical wiring, mechanical systems, and security equipment, ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
Carry out routine maintenance checks to ensure all security systems are fully operational.
Attend reactive callouts for system faults within agreed response times and complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in line with regulatory and contractual requirements.
Manage false alarm incidents and repeat activations, ensuring issues are resolved effectively.
Complete and submit all required service documentation accurately and on time.
Provide technical support over the phone to clients, contractors, and colleagues.
Conduct site surveys, risk assessments, and health & safety evaluations to ensure professional and cost-effective service delivery.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client security information and site details.
Cover London and other regions across the UK, including participation in an out-of-hours callout rota and occasional overtime.
Skills and experience
-------------------------
Proven experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CCTV and access control systems.
Experience with access control platforms such as Lenel, Gallagher, and C- Cure (desirable).
Experience with CCTV brands/platforms such as Avigilon, Bosch, Milestone, Genetec, and similar systems (desirable).
Knowledge of intruder alarm systems (e.g. Galaxy, Texecom, and comparable panels).
Strong electrical wiring skills and understanding of electronic security equipment.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Full UK driving licence (preferred).
Qualifications

Relevant engineering or electrical/electronic qualifications.
ECS/CSCS registered with in-date certification.
IPAF certification beneficial but not essential.
Able to obtain BS7858 / BPSS security clearance (compulsory for this role).
Working hours and package
-----------------------------
Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30 ( hour lunch), 15:30 finish on Fridays.
Participation in an out-of-hours rota (currently 1 in 4 weeks).
Approved overtime available.
Salary: 35,000 - 47,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Paid travel.
24 days annual leave plus bank holidays and your birthday off, increasing by 1 day per year up to 27 days.
