Service Improvement Support Officer

Nottingham, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

We are looking for a talented and motivated individual to join the Service Improvement, Quality and Practice (SIQP) team.

Are you passionate about discovering new ways to make a difference in people's lives? Do you have what it takes to support our cultural mission to create a caring and empowering culture? Are you enthusiastic with the ability to work at pace, engage with stakeholders and operate within a Project Management environment? If so, you could be one of the special people who will be part of shaping the future with us!

If this means something to you and you are ready to grow your career, please get in touch. We would be thrilled to hear from you. In return we offer flexible working conditions, 25 days annual leave entitlement rising to 30 days after five years continual service, hybrid working, an option of joining the Nottinghamshire local government pension fund and a friendly and supportive environment for all.

Examples of recent SIQP projects include:

CQC Inspection Readiness: This project aims to prepare Nottinghamshire County Council for the new process of inspection by the Care Quality Commission. Notts Care Record: This project aims to develop a new Shared Care Record, sharing key data among major data providers in Nottinghamshire, including mental health and community data, GPs, and three hospital trusts. The Big Conversation and Local Account: This project involves commissioning and co-ordinating a series of engagement activities and co-producing a public-facing strategy for Adult Social Care. Dashboard Development: This project involves developing dashboards for operational teams to provide up-to-date reporting, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and replace manual data entry processes.

Hear more about the Service Improvement Support Officer role from one of our team: "Being a Service Improvement Support Officer has been a brilliant opportunity to get hands-on experience in how Adult Social Care works, both within Nottinghamshire County Council and beyond. What I enjoy most about the role is the variety. No two days are the same, and the work is genuinely interesting. I've had the chance to be involved in different projects that support key priorities within the department, often working with a wide range of colleagues across services. The role has allowed me to develop my skills in everything from organising meetings to gathering and analysing evidence that helps drive service improvement. I've also had opportunities to take the lead on discrete pieces of work, which has really helped build my confidence and experience."

This role is temporary until 31st March 2026. Full time, part time, job share and secondment applications are welcomed.
