As Tong Engineering continues to expand, a vacancy has become available for a Service & Installation Engineer.

Key Responsibilities :



Installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery on-site. Attending to on-site repairs and maintenance requests. Assessing and establishing the scope of repairs to be done, arranging replacement parts where necessary, and carrying out the repairs. Liaising with the on-site contact person to ensure a clear understanding of the problem, and providing periodic updates on work progress. Completing all necessary administration and updating the electronic logging system. Ensuring compliance with quality management standards. Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations.

The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys travelling, both locally and internationally, is a team player; and a self-starter who can prioritize, plan, and manage their workload with minimal supervision.

Due to fluctuating business demands, and the requirement to work in various locations and travel, it will be necessary to work overtime and/or weekends when required.

Experience required :



Prior experience in maintaining a broad range of equipment is required. Fabrication, welding, hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge would be advantageous. Low voltage electrical, PLC, HMI and inverter experience would be advantageous, but full training will be provided to the successful candidate. A basic understanding of the Microsoft suite of products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Licences/Certification :



Valid UK Driving Licence (required). Forklift, Teleporter and MEWP Licences (Preferable, but full training will be provided to the successful candidate)
