CEM Solutions are recruiting an experienced Service & Instrumentation engineer to join our team. We are a service-focused business, passionate about providing excellent customer service and customer satisfaction in the servicing and calibration of process control and emissions monitoring systems.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, diligent individual with a background and positive track record in field service. The successful candidate will have experience working on site, carrying out routine maintenance as well as fault finding and repair.
Position Summary
You must be driven by wanting to deliver the best possible customer service experience, regardless of the task in-hand. You are an excellent communicator, able to engage clearly and confidently with both customers and colleagues. You can follow procedures but also act on initiative, investigating and diagnosing faults and supporting colleagues where appropriate.
You will be traveling throughout the length and breadth of the UK, with occasional nights away, whilst also working from our head office in Darley Dale, Derbyshire when not on site.
Responsibilities
Routine service/calibration and maintenance of equipment on site.
Panel Assembly - electrical and mechanical panels for instrumentation, adhering to build procedures.
Repair / fault investigation of instrumentation on a variety of applications, both on-site and in-house.
Preparing / sending RAMS to site.
Completing all necessary work reports / calibration certificates and updating internal system logs as required.
Acting on initiative, advising customers and employer of issues and opportunities.
Working closely to strict procedures and adhering to H&S requirements.
Contributing towards our ethos of continuous improvement with ideas and suggestions.
Qualifications
Essential
Proven experience in industrial control & instrumentation or a similar role.
PC proficiency with a comprehension of networks and communication protocols.
Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs and knowledge of system design principles.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis effectively.
Clear communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Desirable
Proficiency in engineering principles (temperature, pressure, flow, gas analysis technologies etc).
Relevant H&S / site-work certification e.g. CCNSG Passport to Safety, IPAF MEWP operation etc
18th Edition / Electrical or Electronic based Higher Education Qualification
