What is the role?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to lead a team of support workers within one of our lovely extra care services in the Prescot area.

Working with housing associations and local authorities, we provide care and support in purpose-built accommodation for older people, offering a home-from-home environment, with support on-hand when needed. The people supported have access to a wide range of facilities, services and activities, aimed at supporting them to maintain a great quality of life, as well as improving their health and wellbeing.
These include: o 24-hour support. o Housing-related support. o Personal care, such as support with medication and to take care of your health and wellbeing. o Meals - either assisted or prepared for you. o Leisure and recreation activities. o Domestic help. o Support to build or maintain links with your community. o Support to maintain relationships with family and friends. Our Extra Care Services are all based in the heart of the community, with easy access to local shops, supermarkets and transport routes
What do we need from you?
With experience working in a health or social care setting, you will have an upbeat positive manner, as well as having a genuine passion for supporting people to become a part of their local and wider community.
You must have experience of leading a team of support workers within an extra care service previously to be considered for this role.
You will also have experience working with people supported who present behaviours that require intensive support planning and management to ensure their safety and quality of life at all times.
In addition you will be comfortable using basic IT systems that are required within the role - training can be offered to support this area.
You will also hold a professional qualification in Health and Social Care, i.e. Nurse, Social Worker, Health & social care, Care Management Level 3 (England). Or be willing to work towards
Please note this is a full time role, and you must be flexible to be able to meet the needs of the service
