We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us.Who you'll be supporting & more about the role:We have a new and an exciting opportunity for a compassionate, self-motivated, professional, and inspiring person to join our team in Clackmannanshire, Forth Valley who recently received excellent care inspector results.The service Leader will have oversight of 2 services which support 12 individuals with complex care and support needs, including learning disabilities, Autism and/or mental health concerns in the Clackmannanshire Area.You will be based in the larger service that supports 8 individuals, and you will lead, support and mentor a Service Leader 1 based at the other service. The Service Leader will also coach, mentor, develop and guide teams of frontline support colleagues, including Advanced Support Workers and Support Workers, to provide high quality care and support. For this to happen it is important that the people we support's voice is at the forefront of their support. Previous experience of managing services and teams within a social care setting is essential.You will be required to build excellent working relationships with key partners, these will include people supported, their loved ones, key professional colleagues from within the Health and Social Work Team and internal department.Both services have a diverse group of people who require support which needs to be tailored to meet their needs. This requires the service leader to be resilient, consistent and understanding in their approach and be able to problem solve using the least restrictive approach.Most of the people we support are young adults and want to experience life to the full, so they require their support to keep them safe but to also not be risk averse. The people we support all have their own homes but have now managed to build their own friendships within the service and are actively part of their local community. Support to navigate life events and relationships is essential for the people we support to thrive in their environment, as a service leader you will play a vital role in how they are supported by front line colleagues.The service will be centred on a Personalised Care, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and Active Support Model. Of strong interest to us will be candidates who have a proven commitment to these valued driven support approaches as would a PBS qualification or active knowledge in these areas. We will welcome candidates with a learning disability nursing and managerial background.You may be required to work flexibly; this may include the development of other service provision in proximity locations. You may also be required to support other services and service leaders at times. You will work closely with your regional manager who will support you within your role and who has a vast amount of knowledge of their region.Of key interest to us will be your ability to effectively communicate, assess need, understand positive risk taking and to create dynamic plans. You will be able to audit and manage quality assurance systems as well as to understand the principles of strong resource management.
