Salary: \xc2\xa358,808 - \xc2\xa365,865 per annum

Grade H

Permanent

37 Hours per Week

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Adult Social Care, Thurrock Council. The Council has recently reviewed the structure of the Safeguarding and Deprivation of Liberty (DoLs) team and have strengthen the safeguarding function further.

We want a service manager who would be able to oversee the Safeguarding Adults Team and the AMHP service. A service manager who will have oversight of both services and report to the Head of Social Work Support and Principal Social Worker. We are looking for a qualified Social Worker with background in Safeguarding, DOLs and mental health and at least 5 years\' managerial experience to join this supportive service.

This post requires consistency in management to ensure the teams function is delivered safely, effectively, and efficiently. Requirements of the role:
  • Relevant professional social work qualification, with in-depth and expert knowledge in specialist area of social care, health, and wellbeing
  • Substantial experience of post qualifying social work
  • In-depth expertise in the regulations/legislation and practice standards within adult social care and an awareness of broader developments within social care, health, and wellbeing,
