  • This is an exciting time to join the Children and Families &Justice Service within the Communities Directorate. The service has undergone a whole system redesign with a renewed focus on Early Intervention and Prevention.
  • This post holder will directly line manage team managers responsible for Fife's early help and support teams.
  • You will need to have a proven track record of innovation and creativity whilst 'holding' risk to assist these newly established teams to achieve the potential of the model.
  • You will work with partners across Children's Services and beyond to ensure that collaborative working is establish in localities to support the work of these newly formed teams.
  • The service manager will be skilled in assessing and managing risk and supporting this workforce to identify need and risk and manage this appropriately within this new service reducing the need for multiple services and interventions within a household.
  • You will provide supervision to managers.
  • You will work across Children and Families ensuring a one service approach to responding to the needs of Fife's children, young people and their families.
  • You will lead and manage staff through this ongoing programme of change. You must be a skilled and experienced leader within the profession of Social Work and have the ability to evidence social work values are core to your leadership and management approaches.

  • You will be an experienced manager within Social Work and will have held a management position. You will be a motivated and enthusiastic leader who can produce high quality reports, presentations and strategy.
  • You must be able to work in partnership with all staff across the Children and Families, Community Justice and Communities Directorate and have a proven ability to lead integrated services.
  • You need to be a highly motivated and enthusiastic leader who has a track record of managing and implementing change.
  • Experience of leading transformational change
  • Be registered with the SSSC

  • Ability to travel within Fife.
