About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced
Service Manager
to lead our dedicated team within a
children's residential home
in Bedford. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people by ensuring they receive the highest standard of care and support in a safe, nurturing, and positive environment.
As the Service Manager, you will oversee the
day-to-day operations
of the home, ensuring compliance with
Ofsted regulations
, maintaining excellent care standards, and supporting both staff and young people to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strong leadership and guidance to the team.
Ensure the home meets or exceeds
Ofsted
and
safeguarding
standards.
Develop and review care plans that promote positive outcomes for children and young people.
Oversee recruitment, supervision, and training of staff.
Manage budgets and ensure efficient use of resources.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and reflective practice.
Build positive relationships with local authorities, families, and external professionals.
Requirements
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services
(or working towards).
Proven experience managing or deputising within a children's residential setting.
Excellent knowledge of
Ofsted frameworks
, safeguarding, and quality standards.
Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
A genuine passion for supporting children and young people to achieve positive outcomes.
What We Offer
Competitive salary of
50,000 - 60,000
(dependent on experience).
