About The Role
Service Manager Health and Care
Location: Flexible around London with travel in the area
Salary 28,507 to 29,582 per annum (Plus ILW if applicable)
Hours: 35 per week
Contract: Permanent

For over 75 years, the British Red Cross has supported the NHS and provided a lifeline for vulnerable individuals and supported people in crisis following an emergency. If you are organised and motivated then this is a fantastic opportunity to join our Health and Care team as a Service Manager. You will manage health and care services, ensuring all appropriate standards and requirements are met and service contracts maintained.
What does a day in the life of a Service Manager involve?

• Ensuring services are developed and implemented within the framework of national guidelines and to national expectations but flexed to meet local needs.
• Ensuring the area is working within Corporate Plan; service standards are achieved and maintained.
• Supporting developments and contracts.
• Quality and performance management.
• Line management of staff.

What does it take to be a successful Service Manager?

• Management experience and excellent organisational skills with an ability for prioritising your own & other people's workload against competing deadlines?
• Experience of working in a health or social care setting or voluntary organisation and delivering high quality services to people in need.

• Sound working knowledge of Microsoft 365; Outlook, word processing, presentation and spread sheet packages.
• Ability to prepare, manage and monitor budgets.
