Service Manager - Out & About Services, Wokingham - 31,228.31
To manage services within the Wokingham area for adults with a learning disability who have a desire to participate in activities within the local community during the day, evenings and weekends.
Managing a team of staff to ensure the provision of a program of activities that stimulate and encourages customers to maintain / develop their independence, considering their individual care needs and preferences. Understanding the needs of young people in need of daily activity opportunities.
There is supervisory responsibility within this post. Managing / developing and supporting a team. Chairing regular supervisions and yearly appraisals. Monitoring sickness and supporting Optalis disciplinary procedures if necessary. Managing and understanding budgets, contracts, KPIs, customer needs and requirements.
This service is mainly within the community, accessing activities. Cafes, restaurants, leisure facilities, cinemas, bowling, swimming, football games and theatres are some of the venues attended.
To work as part of the management team to ensure the smooth day to day running of the services. Taking on responsibility and making decisions, supervising staff teams. To assist the Head of Non- Regulated Services and Community Development Manager to develop the service. This can include participation in the development of the range of facilities and activities provided by the service and encouraging integration in the community. Ensuring diversity and equality practice is always maintained. Liaise effectively with families, carers, professionals, and other agencies.
To work across all Optalis services regularly and when required. This will include flexibility with working hours to meet needs of the service which will include evenings and weekends if required.
