Service Manager Family intervention services - North

We are currently looking to implement the DfE Families First for children model which will be co-produced with all stakeholders including children, young people, families, staff, practitioners, and partners.
We are looking for an outstanding Family Help Service Manager with a proven track record of leading services delivering support to children and families, delivering effective management of change and of driving service improvement which makes a real difference for children and families.
The postholder will:
Manage Sheffield City Council Family intervention teams (FIS) delivering targeted early help services ensuring they are effective in meeting the needs of children and families.
Work with FIS Service Manager colleagues as part of the FIS Senior Management Team.
Work with other services and partner organisations to develop and embed the multi-agency early help offer and the forthcoming Families First for Children model and work with commissioned early help services overseeing performance and ensuring effective co-ordination with the wider offer.
You will need to be able to build strong and effective working relationships with many different partner organisations and to lead and motivate teams who support children and families to be in control of their lives.
With a thorough knowledge of good practice in work with children and families, you will have ideas about how to adapt this to the needs of communities in Sheffield and the practical skills to make change happen.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.
If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
