Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Service Operator & HGV Driver to join our team! This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine professional driving expertise with hands-on service operations. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for driving an HGV tanker and operating vacuum equipment, ensuring timely service call outs, and maintaining high standards of safety and customer satisfaction. Daily duties will include:

Driving HGV (18 tonne) vacuum tanker to and from customer sites Safely operating vacuum equipment to empty customers septic tanks, cesspits, sewage treatment plants (training provided) Perform routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure optimal performance. Competent in filling out paperwork relating to the vehicle to ensure road safety and company compliance Competent in using tacograph etc Competent in organising their work day, routes, and time efficiently Effectively communicating with team members and customers to ensure a high service standard

When not driving the HGV tanker, other duties may include:

Grease trap emptying using small vacuum tanker Loading, delivering, collecting and unloading of portable toilets to customer sites (with a 4x4 vehicle towing a trailer, or 3.5 tonne van) Assisting with jet washing/ cleaning and maintenance of depot toilet stock

About you:

Must hold a Class 2 HGV licence (minimum) Happy working outdoors in all weather conditions Enjoys physical and manual work Must be able to work on your own and as part of a team Aged 25+ for vehicle insurance purposes Towing experience is an advantage Can be flexible for early starts or late finishes (occasional) Confident with face-to-face customer interactions Positive 'can do' attitude, able to use their initiative and common sense Willing to take on responsibility and enjoys some independence in planning their work day and time efficiently
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 13.50 per hour
