JOB TITLE: Service & Release Engineer (Transport Platform)

SALARY: The salary banding for this role is \xc2\xa345,054 - \xc2\xa350,060

LOCATION: Stockport

HOURS: 35 hours, full time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious and driven individual to be part of the Transport Platform Service & Release Team and play a key role in continuing to deliver the outstanding Service to our Customers and Colleagues that we pride ourselves on.

This role requires someone who can deal with technical and non-technical customers, values attention to detail and has the analysis capability to derive the "so what\'s" from all the information they are dealing with. You should have a desire to protect and improve Service whilst ensuring compliance across a range of Group Incident and Problem Management measures.

This role will involve working closely with the service engineering community within Transport Platform, the wider Group and third party vendors. You\'ll run Problem Management Reviews and complete all associated documentation, getting to root cause and working with engineers to complete actions.

You\'ll work with the development teams on service introductions and provision. You\'ll also be on hand to support the production of Service and Release MI and identify and implement improvements where appropriate.

You\'ll need to be willing to work flexible hours to support releases, support the Application Batch schedule and out of hours support rota.

What you\'ll need

An understanding of the importance of IT systems service stability within LBG.

Knowledge of the Snow Application

An awareness of Batch processing and the TWS scheduling application.

Great interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to articulate technical information, up to and including senior stakeholders.

An understanding of how to gather and present Management Information through the use of Power BI and other toolsets as appropriate.

An ability to build close working relationships with stakeholders and supporting teams.

And any experience of these would be really useful

Strong analytical skills with an ability to document and present complex data.

Willing to deepen your technical knowledge and understanding as well as develop, practice and demonstrate the workplace skills, values and behaviours
