Hall's Electrical Ltd is a leading provider of vehicle conversion services, operating across Bristol, Exeter, and Swindon. We support a wide range of large vehicle fleet operators through our in-house workshops and mobile auto-electrician teams, offering installation, repair, and maintenance services for cars, vans and trucks.
We are seeking a Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations and ensure the smooth and efficient running of our service department. This is a key role within our business, responsible for coordinating engineers, managing bookings, and ensuring exceptional service delivery across retail, aftersales, and warranty work.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Management & Coordination
Supervise and support engineers to maximise productivity.
Allocate jobs efficiently, considering travel time, location, and fuel usage.
Monitor and analyse engineer timesheets and job completion.
2. Booking System Management
Manage and update the booking system ( MMS with Sicon Service Manager).
Receive and schedule new service bookings.
Confirm job details with customers ahead of scheduled dates.
3. Customer Service
Handle service-related phone calls and emails from customers and staff.
Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
Liaise with customers before appointments to confirm job requirements and ensure readiness.
4. Cross-Department Collaboration
Work closely with parts, sales, and retail teams to align service delivery with company objectives.
Coordinate larger-scale projects with the sales team, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
5. Administration
Record and track jobs using T-card system and Sage job numbers.
Report downtime or operational issues to the Service Director.
Ensure documentation and job allocation is accurate and up to date.
6. Continuous Improvement
Identify and proactively resolve potential issues affecting future jobs (e.g., part availability, labour shortages).
Support and implement staff training and development plans.
Enforce company policies on safety, conduct, and security where required.
Skills & Attributes Required
Strong organisational and planning skills.
Excellent communication (written and verbal).
Proficiency in service management software (preferably Sage MMS/Sicon).
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in a supervisory or coordinator role, ideally within automotive or commercial vehicle services.
Progression within our business
Success in this role can lead to progression to Group Service Manager which is currently Cira 55K per annum.
Secondary duties and responsibilities
Cover any workshop/ Parts/ Sales duties & responsibilities in times of annual leave or sickness

Hours:44 hrs per week Monday to Friday
40,000 OTE

Pay: Up to 40,000.00 per year
