Job Summary

We are seeking a Service/Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out commissioning and servicing of complex systems, ensuring that all components function correctly and meet the specified requirements. This role ideally requires some background in the electrical industry, although full training is provided. We are looking for a motivated and driven individual who would get stuck in to the opportunity of joining a fast growing company.

Commissioning and servicing

Complete commissioning of gas detection equipment

Complete servicing of gas detection equipment

Carry out test procedures according to company guidelines

Collect data from sensors, controllers, and other monitoring equipment to ensure that systems are working correctly

Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance

Identify problems with new and existing equipment

Diagnose and repair problems and/or faults

Troubleshoot problems with equipment and determine the cause of the issue

Use various strategies and tools to provide effective solutions to customer concerns

Replace sensors, control panels and other equipment when required

Read and interpret electrical schematics where necessary

Communicate with customers and engineers to ensure that services are delivered effectively

Direct customers to the office when necessary

Always ensure safe working conditions

Customer relations

Answer, resolve and respond to customer queries, issues, or concerns

Escalate problems to technical when the need arises

Escalate customer issues with management when the need arises

Build and maintain excellent working relationships with customers

Train customer site engineers where appropriate

Liaise with customer installation/project engineers as needed

Coordinate between the company and the customer when required

Deliver demonstrations to ensure that customers are educated on safe and effective system use

Administration

Record site observations, testing processes and checklists accurately

Compile commissioning and servicing report data for summarising

Attach photos of the site onto the CRM

Prepare and submit commissioning and servicing reports

Assist in the summarising and updating of commissioning and servicing reports

Assist in the production of commissioning and servicing reports

Pay: 28,000.00-35,000.00 per year
