We are expanding our team and looking to recruit a
Service Engineer
to support our growing operations alongside our fleet of tanker operatives.
About the Role
As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of wastewater treatment systems, pump stations, and associated infrastructure. The role will involve both planned preventative maintenance and responsive repairs, working across a range of domestic and commercial sites.
Key Responsibilities
Service and maintain sewage treatment plants
Diagnose faults in systems and carry out effective repairs and/or part replacements
Commission and decommission treatment plants and pumping stations
Carry out scheduled maintenance on pump stations and underground drainage systems
Conduct electrical fault finding and minor electrical repairs on control panels
Undertake electrical installation work related to control panels and associated systems
Perform high-pressure water jetting and CCTV camera surveys of drainage systems
Assist with installations of sewage treatment plants, pump stations, and drainage fields
Carry out drain lining as well as full dig-up repairs, replacements, and new drainage installations
Support minor groundworks and drainage repairs as needed
Requirements
Essential:
A practical, hands-on approach with a strong mechanical/electrical mindset
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent problem-solving skills
A full UK driving licence
Desirable:
Experience working with sewage treatment plants and control panels
Electrical qualifications (e.g., 18th Edition or similar)
Experience with groundworks or installation of wastewater systems
Note: Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
