About the Role

BA Animation is a new addition to the Design Department at Ravensbourne University London. Driven by storytelling, we take a hands-on and playful approach. This new course is growing and expanding. We are therefore looking to broaden our pool of hourly paid staff for sessional work.


We are seeking sessional academics to deliver and support lessons on BA Animation.

At Ravensbourne, we are looking for experienced and passionate 2D Animation Lecturers to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a brand-new animation course and be involved in developing and delivering the content. Animation is a key part of our Design School. We are aiming to expand the pool of talent working with our brilliant and ambitious students in this dynamic area.


The role includes designing and delivering sessions, pastoral care, and helping to develop an engaging curriculum.

About You

We value a range of skills and are keen to hear from you if you are currently working in industry and have good teaching experience.

You are...

A great communicator with experience of preparing and delivering workshops and conducting assessments. A problem solver with a solution-driven flexible approach. An experienced lecturer in both analogue and digital methods Autonomous and enjoy working on your own initiative. Organised, with experience in managing multiple priorities with conflicting deadlines. Experienced in using 2D Animation software Toon Boom, Blender and Adobe Creative Suite for both frame by frame and cut out animation Experience of using Dragonframe preferable
