Kingston College are seeking Sessional Lecturers in the following areas;

  • Specialist Hair & Media Make Up
  • Production Arts (Technical Theatre)
As a Sessional Lecturer in Specialist Hair & Media Make Up, you will deliver specialist practical and academic teaching at all levels. Our current offer includes Level 3, Level 4 HNC and Level 5 HND qualifications in Specialist Hair and Make Up.

As a Sessional Lecturer in Production Arts (Technical Theatre), you will help deliver exciting and industry relevant skills and knowledge to students on our popular practical vocational courses from Level 3 to Level 5. Our in-house theatre hosts a vast number of internal and external productions throughout the academic year, providing a vocational work setting to instil practical skills and work based learning behaviours.

For the Sessional Lecturer in Specialist Hair & Media Make Up, we\'d like you to have advanced skills in Prosthetics, Hair and Specialist Make Up for Theatre, TV, Film, Fashion and Editorial. You\'ll need to be academically advanced to be able to support Level 4 and 5 with professional planning and marketing skills and use your personal experience of working in the industry to be able to offer guidance and expertise.

For the Sessional Lecturer in Production Arts (Technical Theatre), we\'d like you to have comprehensive experience of working in a backstage environment, have extensive technical theatre abilities and knowledge to effectively teach a range of theatre production skills including; Stage Management (ASM, DSM and SM), Front of House, Lighting Design & Operation, Sound Design & Operation, Set/Prop Design & Scenic Construction. Costume, Wardrobe and Theatrical/Media Make Up skills would also be beneficial. Experience of a professional theatre setting, working with software such as Qlab, ETC and Creative Cloud and/or a willingness to gain these skills to a high level of competency is required.
