Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to support students in their educational journey. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tutoring or teaching, with a focus on fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves working closely with students who are not in mainstream schooling for a variety of reasons, you will be required to enhance their understanding of various subjects including English and Maths, while also catering to individual learning needs.

Duties

Provide one-on-one sessions tailored to the specific needs of each student. Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and student goals. Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly to ensure effective learning outcomes. Create a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student engagement and confidence. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement. Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, including attendance and progress reports.

Skills

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, with a strong understanding of educational principles. Experience working with children, demonstrating patience and adaptability in various learning situations. Knowledge of special education practices is advantageous, enabling support for students with diverse needs. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to students and parents alike. Teaching qualification desirable Strong organisational skills to manage multiple students and maintain detailed records of progress. Driving for this role is mandatory as you will be travelling to different locations
