MF Freeman is seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Site Engineer to support both our award-winning Freeman Homes division and our dynamic Freeman Contracting arm. This is a unique opportunity to work across high-quality residential developments and infrastructure schemes, contributing equally to both areas of the business.

About the Role

Initially, you'll be focused on delivering engineering support across our live sites -- setting out works, supporting machine control systems, and resolving technical challenges. However, this role is also central to a broader transformation: the successful candidate will help develop and embed engineering capability across our sites, freeing up time and resource to support the Technical Director with strategic input, technical oversight, and value engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Set out and control works using Leica iCon Total Stations and GPS equipment Develop AGTEKmodels from CAD drawings and support machine control systems Collaboratewith site managers, technical teams, and subcontractors to resolve engineeringissues Maintain accurate site records including as-built drawings, diaries, and
quality documentation

Promote safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across all engineering activities Contribute to the development of site engineering capability and provide technical input to the Technical Director

What We're Looking For

Essential:

HNC/D in Civil Engineering or related discipline
4-5 years' experience in site engineering, ideally in residential or mixed-use developments

Proficient in Leica iCon Total Station, Rovers, and machine control systems

Strong understanding of groundworks, road construction, foundations, and services

Highly IT literate - confident with CAD and AGTEK

Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills

Ability to lead change

Desirable:

Degree in Civil Engineering

SMSTS
Experience across both residential and infrastructure projects
