About the Role:

We are seeking experienced Sewing Machinists to join a busy furniture manufacturing team in Preston. You will be working with a variety of upholstery fabrics to produce high-quality furniture components.

Key Responsibilities:

Operating industrial sewing machines (flat-bed, overlock, twin-needle, or walking foot) Sewing fabric and leather pieces for sofas, chairs, and other upholstered products Following patterns and production specifications Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards Working as part of a fast-paced production team

Hours of Work:

Standard hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)

Overtime available at enhanced rates (optional, depending on business needs)

Requirements:

Previous experience as a sewing machinist, ideally in furniture or upholstery Ability to operate industrial sewing machinery confidently Strong attention to detail and quality control Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team Ability to meet deadlines in a production environment
