Job Description
Role & Responsibilities:
Sewing bespoke garments
Hand sewing
Understanding of garment construction and patterns
Competency in understanding garment specifications
Prepares machine by changing needles and thread; securing attachments
Braiding
Understanding of cloths and braids
Using other types of machines (for example)
Basting
Zig-Zag
Blind Hemmer
Overlocker
Button Hole Machine
Pressing Equipment
Maintains quality by inspecting finished product
CRITERIA
Experience:
Experience in a similar role
Apprenticeship would be considered
Aptitudes:
Good communication skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
A commitment to continuous quality improvement
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Person:
Committed to the delivery of excellence
Personable
Reliable, honest and committed
Calm manner, able to work under pressure and against rapidly changing demands and priorities

References Essential (minimum of two)
