What you'll be doing:

Advising and reviewing manufacturing processes and associated documentation Overseeing internal and external auditors/investigators Leading the way with safety discussions Supervising and advising on SHE issues including wellbeing and occupational health Proactively supporting continuous improvement ideas for the production area Being an active member of an incident and emergency response team Liaising with other functions at all levels within the business including external organisations and regulators Keeping up to date with current and changing legislation

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:


Holding the NEBOSH Diploma (or working towards) Completed the NEBOSH Certificate or Equivalent in Occupational Health & Safety Experience and knowledge of different types of Risk Assessments e.g. COSHH, PUWER, LOLER Hands-on experience of conducting accident and incident investigations and audits Background in a heavy engineering environment
Desirable:


Experience working in a highly regulated industry i.e. COMAH, Chemical, Gas

The Site SHE team:

Step into a pivotal role as a SHE Advisor at a high-performing, upper-tier COMAH facility where safety is at the heart of everything we do. You'll lead SHE initiatives, deliver training, review risk assessments, and inspire a positive safety culture across manufacturing and engineering teams. Reporting to the SHE Manager and managing a SHE Coordinator, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
