We are seeking a dedicated Sheet Metal Production Operative to join our ducting and ventilation manufacturing team here at iDuct Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating machinery, assembling products and helping to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop a number of technical skills within a fast growing UK based manufacturer, contributing to the production process from start to finish.
Whilst experience in working with Sheet Metal and the ducting industry is advantageous we are also looking someone with a real willingness to learn new skills and develop within the company.
Duties
Operate and monitor various manufacturing equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Assist with assembly processes, ensuring components are correctly fitted and secured.
Use hand tools and power tools to perform routine maintenance, adjustments, and assembly tasks.
Conduct quality checks on finished products to meet company standards.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Assist with inventory management by organising materials within the warehouse area.
Collaborate with team members to meet production targets efficiently and safely.
Requirements
Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of machinery operation.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Experience with assembly processes is advantageous.
Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing production needs.
Ability to work as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and a positive attitude.
