We are looking for a Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (

SHEQ) Director

to lead this function for the BUUK Group and to help us reach our mission to "earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service".

This role will involve national travel as the business requires, and 3 days a week at our Head Office in Suffolk.

As the SHEQ Director your key responsibilities are



To provide strategic direction and support to enable the business to achieve market leading performance in all aspects of safety, occupational health, wellbeing and assurance. Development, co-ordination and monitoring of the BUUK Group SHEQ strategy, compliance and improvement plans Provide specialist expertise to ensure that the business is compliant with legislation, ISO certificated processes and procedures Lead the behavioural safety programme for the Group ensuring that you are an ambassador for the business, Development of BUUK SHEQ policies and procedures, ensuring that we remain legally compliant and recognised as top in the industry Define and oversee the implementation/operation of an appropriate occupational health strategy Oversee the incident investigation process to ensure completion within standard and follow up on incidents Enhance BUUK's public profile in all aspects of health and safety management via involvement in, and leadership of, external representative bodies.

About you



Degree qualified in an appropriate discipline or equivalent Significant experience in similar work at a senior level with a proven track record of delivering and implementing in a large corporate environment Working knowledge of current Legislation, Standards and Specifications, Codes of Practice and recommendations relating to Safety, Health, Environment and Quality. Leadership and change management at a senior level in construction and/or asset owning businesses Excellent communication, relationship management and influencing skills and an effective collaborator
