The Service Engineer (Electrical) is responsible for delivering electrical and building services engineering maintenance across a variety of client properties within the designated region. This includes providing electrical engineering services with a focus on fault finding, repairs, maintenance, and installation.
The engineer will ensure high standards of service delivery in line with ISS protocols while actively promoting and adhering to health and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out electrical PPM, proactive, and reactive maintenance tasks within set timeframes to exceed customer expectations.
Perform maintenance on other building services, including fabric, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
Oversee contractor activities on behalf of the client, ensuring compliance with standards and issuing Permits to Work.
Ensure all electrical equipment operates within specified performance criteria.
Maintain equipment and surrounding areas to agreed company standards.
Deliver a professional service that upholds customer satisfaction and company reputation.
Evaluate and ensure proper servicing and maintenance of contracted equipment.
Proactively engage with clients to address concerns or escalate them to management as needed.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation.
City & Guilds 18th Edition (BS:7671:2008).
Inspection & Testing certification (2394/2395 preferred).
Valid JIB card, IPAF/PASMA certifications, and a Full UK Driving Licence.
Extensive experience in commercial FM and building systems.
Proven expertise in electrical building services maintenance, including fault finding, installation, inspection, and testing.
Strong background in delivering both reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
Experience working within facilities management or building services in commercial properties.
