The Shift Engineer will play a vital role in maintaining operational resilience and supporting the client's Global Headquarters as a leading workplace environment.

As part of the Engineering Team, you will ensure that all equipment and building systems remain fully operational, compliant, and well-maintained at all times.
You'll carry out regular maintenance activities, identify and repair faults, and manage technical issues promptly to minimise disruption to operations.
Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and safety standards will be a core part of the role, as will clear and timely reporting of engineering issues.
This is a hands-on, shift-based position that demands technical competence, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to maintaining engineering assets across the site.
Your work will directly contribute to the smooth functioning of the client's facilities, supporting both critical operations and the wider staff experience.
Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with campus facilities team to deliver a best-in-class workplace environment
  • Perform PPM tasks per schedules, maintaining engineering standards to ensure plant reliability
  • Comply with HASAWA and ISS Safe Systems of Work for all engineering activities
  • Ensure onsite Quality Assurance procedures are followed and maintain accurate records
  • Respond promptly and effectively to all engineering reactive maintenance and helpdesk requests
  • Coordinate initial actions for all client maintenance requests
  • Manage and coordinate specialist subcontractors for scheduled PPM and reactive call-outs
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
  • Experience working in a business-critical environment
  • Preferably LV switching experience with a current LV training certificate
  • Preferably qualified to 18th Edition wiring regulations
  • Qualified electrician with a recognised apprenticeship
  • Strong written, verbal, and IT communication skills
  • Positive and collaborative team player
