We are looking for a

Multi Skilled/Shift Engineer

to join this dynamic, forward-thinking team in

Bromborough

. With recent investments both on new equipment and GHG we continue to build a strong team for the future of the site.


As a key member of the Engineering Team, your primary accountability is to provide safe and highly reliable equipment to manufacturing colleagues, achieved through a healthy balance of hands-on maintenance competence, equipment knowledge, analysis of equipment performance and strong communication skill.

Working hours:

Rotation Shift - working 4 on 4 off, 2 days / 2 nights

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure all site assets are maintained to a high standard and meet sites requirements and are always available. To ensure optimum performance of the manufacturing plants and equipment at best value cost and effective use of resource Execute planned and unplanned maintenance activities to agreed standards, ensuring safe working always. Positively affect plant reliability through practical intervention on improvement activities, maintenance procedures and on plant stoppages Ensure a robust and clearly communicated safe system of work is applied for all activities that you undertake - properly risk assessed. To deliver on relevant Engineering Key Performance Indicators Contribute to the development of existing and new standards for key items of equipment and facilities. To ensure engineering stock control on all parts used - booked out and accounted for correctly within the required systems. Coach, train and give understanding to production colleagues to achieve continual improvements in equipment knowledge/performance. Act with integrity always to build a culture of professional engineering and proactive equipment-focussed continuous improvement skills.

You will need:

A recognised qualification for mechanical and electrical engineering BTEC Engineering certificate/equivalent qualification Broad Knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Mechanical, Electrical & PLC/Inverter Assets Experience of risk assessing maintenance activity and controlling safe working practices Experience of working on high hazard equipment & competent in undertaking safe isolation
