Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced

Shift Leader

to oversee daily operations within our busy hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food service, and a thorough understanding of food safety and team management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team, ensure high standards of service, and contribute to the overall success of our establishment. All positions are paid, including internships.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily shift activities to ensure smooth operation Lead and motivate team members to deliver excellent customer service and maintain high standards of food quality Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet safety and quality standards Manage staff schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance during shifts Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards Handle customer queries or complaints professionally and efficiently Assist with training new team members in food production, service procedures, and safety protocols Maintain a clean and organised work environment in line with health and safety legislation

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality roles such as restaurant or hotel experience Supervising experience or team management skills within a fast-paced setting Strong knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively Good communication skills and the ability to handle customer interactions diplomatically Experience in serving or hospitality roles such as barista experience or culinary background is desirable Ability to work flexible hours during shifts, including evenings or weekends if required A proactive attitude with organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 30 per week
