Overview of roleIt is an exciting time for the business. We have implemented an ambitious growth strategy named 'Route 300' which will double the Sales within the next 5 to 10 years. Growth will be achieved by growing the core business, entering new markets, an exciting pipeline of new product development, and bringing the Brands to new categories.The role is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to lead and motivate their team, whilst ensuring that we meet challenging customer demands and business objectives on time, to the required standard and within budget.We currently run a shift pattern to cover manufacturing from Monday to Thursday. Week one is 3 12 hour night shifts, week 2 is 3 12 hour day shifts and one 8 hour day shift. We have 3 Shift Leaders so one of you will be the holiday cover person, mostly off shift and doing projects for your development.Key AccountabilitiesOur Production Manager is looking for a team member to...

  • Be responsible for the day to day management of a shift team, developing, motivating and engaging them to meet current and future needs, and leading and developing them to high performance.
  • Ensure the team are always adhering to safe systems of work and acting in a safe manner to protect the health and safety of themselves and others, whilst promoting a culture of positive safety intolerance, demonstrating strong safety leadership and addressing unsafe behaviours and working practices to coach the right behaviours.
  • Ensure we lead an environmentally responsible operation through all processes, following all Quality systems and procedures to ensure our products meet food safety (HACCP), legal and customer requirements as well as maintaining external standards e.g. BRC.

  • Experience of working in an environment that has Health & Safety as a high priority and experience within an FMCG production environment, managing teams with effective people management skills.
