Position Details
3 x 12 hour shifts per week
Plus 1 in 4 Sunday Shift
Day and Night shifts in weekly rotations
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in a manufacturing setting and have level 3 NVQ Electrical qualification or similar.
Job Purpose
An exciting position at GPI Leeds within the maintenance department. The ideal candidate will support the plant with install and repairs of electrical components and equipment, reporting to the maintenance manager.
Key Objectives
To ensure proper operation of manufacturing equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, drives, PLC's, pumps, pneumatic tools, and production machines, following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, and manufacturer's instructions.
To provide a continual and effective service across all departments, fulfilling key tasks as required.
To troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair, and maintain industrial machinery, electrical and mechanical equipment for improved reliability and up-time.
To maintain good housekeeping in the area, whilst working to specific maintenance schedules and work practices within the department.
To work effectively and efficiently as part of a cohesive team by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
Work closely with area operators to resolve maintenance related issues with the ability to communicate the issues and resolutions to Operators, Managers and Peers directly or via email.
Responsible for shift pass down to oncoming staff in the maintenance team.
Maintain maintenance log and keep it current at the end of each shift.
Resolve quality and safety issues.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and drawings.

Level 3 NVQ Electrical or similar
