40k + shift allowance

+ up to 20% annual company performance-related bonus, private medical cover, 25 days annual leave + bank holidays



Shift Pattern:

Sunday- Thursday

- 3 pm -11 pm -

Late Shift



Job Summary




This role is critical to the ongoing success of our Supply Chain and you'll play a key part in enabling the First Line managers and Team Members on your shift to realise their full potential and performance. Supported by the Warehouse Operations Manager you will lead and oversee the day to day activities, and through effective planning, review and continuous improvement, you will create an environment where your teams will achieve the highest levels of performance and customer service.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities




Your key accountabilities and responsibilities will be to:

Inspire and engage, acting as a role model for your team in terms of standards, behaviours and performance whilst motivating and managing all employees fairly and consistently to maintain and improve employee engagement on your shift. Coach and develop your People Leaders and encourage and foster a high performance culture. Drive and deliver Shift performance through achievement of Productivity and Financial KPI's Effectively manage the direct labour budget, flexing to volume whilst maintaining customer service and people targets. Take ownership and manage your recruitment needs by proactively engaging with local Job Centres, Agencies and the Talent team, and using your knowledge and judgement to ensure any recruitment is carried out in an efficient and cost effective manner. Partner closely with the Supply Chain Operations Managers and FLM's throughout the network, building effective relationships through collaboration and sharing best practice. Embrace and be open to change through continuous improvements, building a high level of commitment in employees to achieve year on year improvements in all key areas. Create and maintain an environment that puts people's health, wellbeing and safety at the forefront. Leading and challenging in Health & Safety practice, ensuring the highest standards and awareness throughout the shift. Partner with the Supply Chain training team to ensure all your team are fully aware and trained in the required processes. Ensure training records are up to date, standard operating procedures are reviewed and updated where necessary. Cascade key Company messages through your team using a variety of communication methods - i.e. team briefing, checkpoints, visual displays - and check for understanding. Manage and maintain any MHE within your area, ensuring regular checks are carried out for optimum performance and safety Manage your teams data on Workday HRIS, carry out data audits and encourage self-audits to ensure accuracy. Recognise and celebrate success within your teams, informally and by using internal recognition systems Carry out regular and meaningful Checkpoint conversations and ensure your People Leaders are doing the same, covering, as a minimum:- current performance, future expectations, goals and objectives and career conversations. Champion the Gemba Kaizen philosophy of improving processes and reducing waste Share and embrace Supply Chain best practice with an active involvement in the European Supply Chain transformation & technology work. Embed corporate social responsibility (CSR) into yours and your teams' ways of working.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications



Qualification in Health & Safety eg IOSH min requisite Min 3 years experience of managing in Logistics / Supply Chain Knowledge of Oracle / WMS alongside Voice. Can demonstrate good working knowledge of Excel and presentation skills People Leadership and experience of managing people processes (e.g. disciplinary, grievance, capability) Excellent communication skills Proven ability to drive results through engaging with their people Builds strong & credible relationships not only with own team but with key stakeholders Demonstrate strong emotional intelligence, to use coaching skills when dealing with the team to maximise performance so they learn and develop to become a stronger team. Experience of change management (desirable) Agile and flexible mindset with ability to identify potential problems and seek resolution through positive proactive action.

Scale of the role



Responsible for a direct labour budget of 1.5m per annum. To deliver on time in full measure of 99%+ with 3rd party transport provider Indirectly responsible for a team of up to 75 1-4 direct reports

Failed Before Start - < 0.6% Stock management Supply Chain - < 3.15% Stock Management DC - < 14.75% Delivered fitted - < 118% Adverse Buy - < 6.0%

Supply Chain internal audit requirements - over 85%

Non glass recycling - > 98% Zero loss time accidents Employee Engagement score > 90% Achievement of personal objectives (as set by Warehouse Operations Manager)
