Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced

Production Shift Manager

to oversee our manufacturing operations on shifts (day/evening only). The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and managing production teams, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily production activities and lead by example to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Train and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork. Monitor production schedules and adjust workflows to meet changing demands. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning. Collaborate with warehouse teams to manage inventory levels and optimise storage solutions. Implement best practices in production processes to enhance productivity and reduce waste. Maintain accurate records of production metrics and report on performance outcomes.

Essential Criteria

At least

3 years experience

in a Production Supervisor or Production Manager role within a fast paced manufacturing environment. A recognised Management/Leadership qualification. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to lead diverse teams. Excellent organisational skills to plan production schedules. Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on achieving operational excellence.

Desirable Criteria

BRC / Hygeine in packaging sector ISO Management System NEBOSH Certificate Technical qualification (mechanical or electrical)
