Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Duties

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems and machinery. Diagnose faults and perform repairs efficiently to minimise downtime. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs and parts used. Collaborate with engineering teams to identify areas for process optimisation. Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies. Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing technical insights and recommendations.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician or similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics and basic electrical principles. Relevant technical qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Ability to read technical drawings, manuals and schematics accurately. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Familiarity with health and safety standards relevant to industrial maintenance work. A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
