Shift Based Technical Team - Mechanical Vacany



Due to the exciting restructure in the Deeside End Plant, we are looking to extend our technical team on shift by recruiting mechanical technicians on shift to strengthen our mechanical cover 24/7.



We would like to encourage internal candidates to apply for the position of shift based mechanical technician to join the current technical shift-based team. Reporting to the Production Team Leader with functional responsibility to the PM&R Mechanical Team Leader.



Purpose of function / main tasks:



Work safely in the execution of routine and nonroutine tasks

Maintenance, repair and overhaul of end making and ancillary equipment

General workshop duties including rework of sub-assemblies and unit spares

Preparation for maintenance activities using SMED philosophy

Trouble shooting and rectification of process equipment faults

Participate in continuous improvement activities

Training and support of apprentices and developing personnel

Participate in housekeeping and maintaining a safe and organized working environment



Professional Requirements:



Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent in mechanical engineering

Education Level:

GCSE or equivalent English & Math's. Basic computer literacy.

Proven track record of maintenance engineering experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment

Methodical approach and strong attention to detail

Highly flexible, able to respond to changing priorities

Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined team with a strong emphasis on safe systems of work

Self-motivating, able to use your own initiative and to accept a level of responsibility

Fabricating/welding/machining skills desirable



Working Pattern:



4 x 12hours shifts:

2 days 2 nights / 4 off



Fixed rota with 5 x 18 day holiday breaks per annum.



Package:



Circa:

56,500 per annum (including shift allowance)
