Mountpanther Farm Park

is looking for a dedicated, energetic, and hands-on

Shift Supervisor

to help lead our team. This is a highly active and varied role that combines

team leadership

,

site operations

and

customer service.



You'll be responsible for the

daily running of the park from opening to closing

, ensuring a safe, smooth, and enjoyable experience for all visitors. Each day, you'll supervise the team across departments including the cafe, admissions, petting barn, deer safari, inflatables, and play areas.

This role requires a confident leader who can

stay calm under pressure

, lead by example, and work cheerfully and efficiently in a fast-paced, public-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Park Operations



Take overall responsibility for the

day-to-day running of the park

and its staff from open to close. Lead and support the team members across multiple departments. Ensure staff are confident in their roles, following park procedures, and delivering excellent customer service. Be a visible and approachable leader -

leading by example

with energy, positivity, and a hands-on attitude. Maintain exceptional guest interaction throughout the park, ensuring visitors feel welcomed and valued. Handle and resolve operational issues including: Visitor complaints First aid situations Equipment faults or breakages

Health & Safety



Carry out regular

safety and hygiene checks

across: Cafe and food preparation areas Inflatable play zones and park play equipment Animal enclosures and walkways Ensure all areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Monitor and respond to risks as they arise, escalating concerns to management as needed.

Customer Service & Communication



Provide excellent communication with customers and staff at all times. Respond to

emails, phone calls, and social media messages

in a polite and professional manner. Ensure the visitor experience is smooth, welcoming, and memorable for all guests, especially families with young children.

Animal Care Support



Contribute to basic animal husbandry tasks including

feeding, mucking out, and cleanliness checks

. Report any animal welfare concerns to the animal care team or management.

Administrative Duties



Read, understand, and

implement all SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)

relevant to each department. Help

train new staff

and guide the team in following correct procedures. Assist with updating SOPs as needed based on seasonal or operational changes. Review and sign off

completed check sheets

from each department daily. Help

create staff rotas

and manage employee shift hours. Complete inventory checks and orders as required. Attend regular meetings with management and

contribute ideas

to improve the park, events, and processes.

We're Looking for Someone Who:



Has a minimum of

1 year's experience in a supervisory or leadership role

Is confident managing a team and comfortable making quick decisions under pressure Is highly organised, efficient, and detail-oriented Enjoys being outdoors and is

happy to work in all weather conditions

Loves working with

families and children

in a public-facing setting Can lift, carry, and help with physical setup tasks for events and daily operations Has strong communication skills and a professional, approachable manner Has basic computer skills for rotas, email, spreadsheets, and internal checklists Has or is willing to obtain

First Aid Training


Hours & Availability



Must be available at least 5 days per week during July and August

Must be available weekends from September to December

Quieter months (January to March)

may involve occasional hours focused on planning, setup, and maintenance.
Flexibility is essential, especially during

school holidays, weekends, and events

.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
