We are now looking for a Shift Supervisor to join our diverse and talented team in Kanthal, to provide world class support to the Production Department and ensure that the relevant Continental shift runs smoothly and efficiently.
Your role
To assist Production Management in ensuring the safe and operational efficiency of Production, while enabling optimum performance and achieving relevant KPI's.
Key responsibilities for this role:
Oversee daily operations across multiple areas ensuring the efficient manufacture of Kanthal heating elements
Communication - ability to communicate at all levels.
Supervise and lead a team of operators, promoting safety, quality and productivity
Attend Production meetings, providing updates and leading discussions with team members
Expedite orders to maintain production schedules, including monthly invoicing targets
Ensure compliance of company SOP's and specifications for heating elements used in industrial furnaces and kilns.
Collaborate with Quality, Process, Engineering and Maintenance teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
About you
Ideally you will have a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to lead, train and support your team of operators. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Health & Safety protocols. IT knowledge including a good understating of Microsoft packages (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel etc).
