Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will play a vital part in implementing care plans and supervising junior staff, contributing to a positive living environment for our senior residents.

Duties

Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Develop and maintain individual care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members. Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed. Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care. Monitor residents' health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel. Maintain accurate records of care provided and assist in administrative tasks related to resident care. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in senior care and leadership.

Experience

Previous experience in a senior care or similar role is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills are vital for interacting with residents and their families. Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and care plans is advantageous. A passion for providing high-quality care to seniors is essential. Leadership qualities are desirable for supervising staff effectively within the care home environment.
