Serco Ferries (Guernsey) Crewing Ltd provide crew to NorthLink Ferries vessels operating between Aberdeen, Orkney and Shetland as well Stromness and Scrabster.
Summary
We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our galley team aboard our ferries. This position is based in and plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our passengers while maintaining high standards of food safety and production.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality meals using fresh, local ingredients.
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
Develop menus that reflect seasonal availability and customer preferences.
Maintain inventory levels of food supplies and manage kitchen waste effectively.
Collaborate with the hospitality team to deliver an exceptional dining experience for passengers.
Requirements
Successful completion of a Seafarers ENG1 Medical
Be able to commit and successfully complete a two-week training programme inlcuding STCW training
Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and presentation.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
