We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a variety of deli products. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food, a strong understanding of food safety practices, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Prepare and serve deli items, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli area, adhering to food safety regulations.
Assist customers with their selections, providing recommendations and upselling products when appropriate.
Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, utilising basic math skills.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment as needed.
Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Experience
Previous experience in food preparation or a similar role within the restaurant industry is preferred.
Familiarity with kitchen operations and culinary techniques is advantageous.
Strong time management skills to effectively prioritise tasks in a busy setting.
Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is essential.
Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and colleagues.
