are recruiting a shop assistant to become part of the friendly team in a small family run butchers.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

Maintaining Health & Safety, Hygiene and Food Quality standards at all times Serve customers in an enthusiastic and friendly manner Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately Weighing, packaging and pricing items for sale Ensure all stock is displayed according to layout standards and the display is maintained throughout the day Keeping chilled cabinets stocked and in date order Making sausages, burgers and other products within the shop.

Skills needed:

Friendly, confident and able to engage with our loyal customer base Good attention to detail and the ability to multitask Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices Adaptable to change and production demands Ability to use your own initiative and work as part of a team Willing to learn and thrive in a busy customer focused environment.
Previous food retail experience is an advantage but not essential, full training will be provided.

The job involves working 5 days which include Saturday's. Earliest start would 06.00am and latest finish 17.00pm. Hours may differ at peak times of the year.

10.50-12.50 per hour dependent on age and level of experience.

This is a permanent position on successful completion of 12 week probationary period.
