Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. As a Shop Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the shop's organisation, assisting customers, and supporting daily operations. This position requires excellent communication skills.

Duties

Greet customers warmly as they enter the shop and provide assistance as needed. Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the shop, ensuring products are well-displayed and stocked. Assist customers in locating products and provide information about features and benefits. Process transactions accurately at the till and handle cash responsibly. Respond to customer inquiries in a professional manner, both in-person and over the phone. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction. Participate in inventory management, including stock replenishment and conducting stock checks. Support promotional activities and assist in setting up displays for special events or sales. Completing orders and slicing bread.

Experience

Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills are required. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. A friendly attitude with a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Basic numerical skills for handling transactions accurately.
