Shop Assistant With Equine Knowledge
Job Description
We are looking for someone who has a reasonable equine knowledge as the job apart from the clothing side of the business involves giving advice on all aspects of bridlework, bits, horse boots, rugs etc. This is a busy tack shop and requires a good basic knowledge in what is required both for the horse and rider.
The hours of work are Monday and Tuesday 11 to 5, Thursday 11 to 3 and one Saturday a month from 10 to 5. It is essential that the applicant can work if required on a Saturday.
Maintain the organisation and cleanliness of the shop floor and displays.
Restock shelves and ensure products are correctly labelled
Support with inventory management and stock checks
Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and courteously
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
Assist in organising promotional events or special displays as required
Experience
Previous experience in retail or customer service is advantageous but not essential, training will be given. Friendly, approachable manner with a positive attitude towards retail skills while contributing to a welcoming shopping experience. We value applicants who are organised, communicative, and enthusiastic about helping others.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From 12.29 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
