EC Creative Services Ltd. is a well-established set building company based in Chadderton, near Oldham. For over 25 years we have manufactured sets for the TV and film industry in the UK and abroad. The ever increasing focus on British made productions, particularly in Manchester and throughout the North and our outstanding reputation for high quality finishes and excellent punctuality mean that demand for our services is as high as ever. We are looking to add to our full-time core team to meet the current demand.

Key responsibilities will include working with the team to build custom TV sets / exhibition pieces using timber, engineered sheet material, plastics and composites according to the client's requirements. Due to the nature of the TV and film industry our work is incredibly varied compared to joinery roles in other sectors. It is rare that we ever make the same thing twice which means the successful candidate will need to be able to adapt to a range of challenges. Other responsibilities include keeping the work spaces tidy and well maintained, working out on site when required and collaborating with our team of metalworkers to achieve the finished product.

We require a time served experienced carpenter who can demonstrate good knowledge of materials, a strong work ethic, competency in working from technical drawings and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have a flair for creativity and enjoy working on bespoke one off items, will have at least City and Guilds joinery / carpentry level 3 qualifications or similar, and will be willing to work overtime when required. Also a clean driving license is desirable but not essential. Successful applicants will be invited to EC workshops for an interview.
